Five modules, from soil to a first sale
Free and online. Do them in order to take one project the whole way, or jump straight to the one your project is stuck on.
Two ways through
In order, they follow one project from the ground up: understand your soil, water it well, prototype a tool, refine it on real plants, then sell what you made. Out of order, each module still works on its own.
Workshops take one module at a time and build its project together; the contact page is the way in.
Soil Health Basics
How soil actually works: texture, organic matter, and the way water moves through it. Jar tests and windowsill experiments stand in for lab gear. It ends on why healthy soil is the cheapest irrigation upgrade there is.
Beginner Open this moduleWater Efficiency & Drip Irrigation
The physics of gravity-fed drip, taught with buckets and tubing. You build a first drip line, race flow rates, and test how different soils take water.
Build Open this moduleLow-Cost Prototyping
Everyday materials and 3D-printed parts turned into working tools: bottle-cap adapters, micro-emitters, soil anchors. The habit it teaches is the whole point: prototype cheap, test in dirt, revise.
Build Open this moduleSmall-Scale Nursery Tools
Design the small tools that keep seedlings alive and organized: dibblers, micro-scoops, transplant lifters, clip-on markers. Shaped by real nursery shifts, and tested against actual seedlings rather than specs.
Design Open this moduleIntro to Micro-Enterprise
Business modeling at seedling scale: what makes something sellable, how to price it, and a ten-dollar experiment to test real demand. The goal is one small, honest sale, not a pitch deck.
