Drip irrigation kit

A fully 3D-printed drip irrigation system, designed from scratch and the worked example in the water module. A printed ring with a zig-zag channel in its wall goes around the plant, three stakes pin it into the soil, two printed parts combine to form a flow controller, and a root cap covers the soil at the stem.

No pump and no pressure regulator: gravity does the work. See it built, assembled, and tested in a bed.

Tubing: 1/4 in. inside diameter, 3/8 in. (0.375 in.) outside diameter. For example, UDP 1/4 in. I.D. x 3/8 in. O.D. x 10 ft. Clear Vinyl Tubing from The Home Depot.

The drip kit laid out on black foam: a cone-shaped root cap, the two parts of the flow controller, the drip ring, and three stakes.
